About Us

The South Perth Bicycle Users Group (BUG) was formed in 1998 and was one of the first in Western Australia. Some of the activities we've been involved in include

• A saddle survey of bicycle parking facilities within The City. This lead to a list of recommended locations for bicycle parking many of which have now been installed.
• We took City Councillors and Council Workers on a guided cycle trip through The City to provide them with a cyclist's perspective of South Perth.
• We worked closely with The City in the preparation of its Local Cycling Plan.
• We participated in the cycling component of the TravelSmart pilot project.
• We have held BikeWeek events.
